What to Do After a Storm
If your dock, lift, or boat has been damaged in a storm, follow these steps:
1. Stay Safe
Don’t go near the water until the storm has fully passed and it’s safe to do so. Downed power lines near the water are especially dangerous.
2. Don’t Move Anything
Leave everything as-is if possible. Moving damaged equipment before it’s documented can complicate your insurance claim.
3. Call 218 Docks
Call Trevor right away at 218-766-4574. We’ll get out as quickly as possible to assess the damage, document everything, and start the recovery process.
4. Contact Your Insurance
Notify your insurance company as soon as possible. We’ll work alongside you and your adjuster to make sure everything is properly documented for your claim.
